“Needless to say, Means Street Studios provides quality equipment, service and most importantly the perfect space for for artists and creatives to produce quality work.”

The Marietta Street Artery became home to Means Street Studios in 2013, founded by DJ Drama, best known for hosting successful mixtapes such as Gangsta Grillz and for working on Lil Wayne’s Dedication series, with New York Times calling Dedication 2 “one of the 10 best records of 2006”. Considering the influence that DJ Drama and the alike have had on Atlanta’s music industry it was only fitting for the studio space to be located in the Means Street Historic District(named after landowner Alexander Means) , consisting of mostly 19th and early 20th century warehouse and industrial buildings.

The 7500 sq ft facility features three recording studios, an in-house radio room with terrestrial and satellite capabilities, a cyclorama room consisting of both a white and green screen as well as salon room fitting for barbers and beauticians and lastly a fully furnished kitchen/lounge space.

Owner, DJ Drama is also one of the A&R’s for Atlantic Records, making Mean Street studios Atlanta’s home for the record label as well Streetz Is Watchin Radio Show, aired on Shade 45 Sirius XM.
